Why not just do a continuity check between the dimmer connector and the driver side headlamp connector? Just make sure that the connector on the passenger side headlight is removed too. Fast and simple way to determine if there is a break in the line.

Without a doubt. Before I undergo a project like running complete new lines and making new pigtails a continuity check would be first. Then that's where I would start looking to see if I can find a break in the line. Thanks for reminding me to disconnect the passenger side!
