My original heater box is out and I have repaired a broken mount using a fiberglass repair kit.

My question is whether or not anyone has tried "re-juvinating" the fiberglass box with a coat of resin? My plan would be to scuff the entire surface of the box then brushing resin over it and letting it cure.

What do all of you professional's think about that?

Thanks!

KC, this would be a great "How To" thread if you tell us how you repaired it with the kit. There's an award icon for creating good how to threads and it will be moved into the wiki section. The resin coating sounds like a good idea.
