Really a thousand cars and one 71-73 stang. Well It was mid day and cars were still coming in.

Thanks Doc. I had fun. I don't often get out to things like this but stopped by after work and before the big crowd. Still made it in plenty time to pick Mary Ann up after school!

They made a stop yesterday at the Motorsports park just north of town. Had it not been for work getting in the way I would have gone. Several friends from the mustang club went and said there was 3500+ cars announced to be present. I have several photos that members posted up on our mustang club site. Two of the guys are going the distance from Arlington,TX to Charlotte. They enjoyed spending one night at home prior to hitting the road to Birmingham yesterday. Here are a few pictures and I have indicated one showing a 70's vert so it looks like at least one more showed up.

Only shots that have the vert in it. The guy taking the pictures has a 66 GT 350 clone so he took pictures of all of the earlier years. There were some nice 60's models as well.

I love these Retrobuilt conversions of modern mustangs into classic looking versions.

OK, I must admit if any car were to put me on the line of selling my 67 it would be a 68/69 Mercury Cyclone. This sister car Torino just makes me drool. I kick myself for not getting a chance to see this one in person.

Nice car.

I owned a 68 Torino 302 auto - white with red stripes. When I decided to sell, we couldn't hardly give it away. They were very cold (value wise) for a very long time. Even in the late 80's there wasn't much a market for them unless it had a 428CJ or similar muscle setup.

I had a friend who had a 69 Cyclone Spoiler II - it was similarly modded but not to the extreme of the Torino you posted. It was really neat and VERY rare. Great guy but sadly he passed away. That car and his 70 GT-350 were sold soon after his death.

Anyway I will try and find some pics!!!!

A couple more pics a friend sent me from the Power Tour.

Looks like a nice 73 Mach made it into the mix in Fayetteville Arkansas? Can't verify location but that is my best guess.

And I think the conv pic is from Texarkana, Texas.
