My Car
1972 Mustang Sprint coupe
I’m starting to part my Sprint coupe parts car. Looks like it has some interesting options on it. Tilt rim blow steering wheel, rear defroster and map light. Going to sell some parts and might use some parts for my car. Not sure what to do. So if you had these parts , which would you keep.

That rear defroster switch is gorgeous!  (Mine was broken off before I bought it - and I swapped in new rear glass).  But, if nobody else wants it I'd be interested, just to fill the hole in my dash.  The little button-looking thingie next to it is a light indicator for the rear defroster when it's 'On,' BTW.

I see you also have the fresh air vents - you might want to hang onto those and the ducting if they work (and your main car doesn't have A/C), or you could sell those off as well.  The headlight bezel and Park light look to be in good shape as well.  I'll bet the instrument cluster looks pretty nice behind the cloudy/dusty/dirty 'glass,' which the clock could be converted to become a tach by The Rocketman.  The center console looks like it would be awesome with a good cleaning and some fresh paint.  I see lots of good, usable parts in those pics. :thumb:

My coupe does have non working A/C. The car is pretty dirty, supposed to have been in a barn for 20 years. Looks like they left the window down for some reason unknown. Thanks for the good eye on the parts. I need to try and figure out prices before I put up for sale. I remember seeing on here that map light and rear defroster switch is hard to find. Car is optioned weird, no A/C , no disc brakes but tilt rim blow wheel, long console and rear defrost.

I would for sure keep the wheel and tilt. A good tilt column right now can go for $600 - $800 and Three spoke rim blow is expensive also. The rear window defogger I would also keep. If you do not want the rear window defogger I would be interested. But need the wire harness and relays to swap over.

I have a totally rust free 73 Grande that for sure can sell the parts for more than the car. Coupes just do not sell but make the best drag cars and track cars due to stiffer body than fastback.
