KigerStang gets Shelby tail

The only thing I never was fond of on the 71-73 was the rear tail lights. So I decided to put 1968-70 Shelby tails on this project.

This is a temporary setting to show the look. A new bezel with LED back up lights and chrome inlay will be added along with a custom wrap around rear spoiler.

Due to recent sponsorship agreements, this project will be going dark.

You can see the car in person at SEMA 2014 in Vegas!

Nice. Originally I did not like the 71/73 tail lights either but they have grown on me. I think the shelby lights will look great and really set it off.

Looks good Phil, I agree about the original tail lights. Do you have any plans for the front? I always thought rectangle or square head lights would match up well with the angular front end. Kinda like the 73's tried to do with the square bezel/round light...jim

Im changing the front grille and lights. Going with LEDs on all lights including headlamps. The grill be a custom mesh similar to the 1970 Shelby with blackout or black carbon fiber wrapped bumpers.Havent decided which yet, Ill need to model it to see what looks better. I like the look of the new Camero headlamps with the halo. Working back forward so it will be another year before I get there.

Interesting ideas, would be worth a trip to SEMA to see it.
