I was browsing CL and saw some mustang II deluxe door panels in perfect condition and in the correct color and price, was wondering if they will fit in a 73 mach 1 door

Not much of anything fits from the next generation mustang. You can put the clock from one in your 71 - 73 console if you cannot find a working one. I has the flip over numbers instead of dial clock face. I have one that came in on of my cars.

Direct bolt in and harness works also.

I'm going to look into this. thanks

Studdley, as others have posted, the 74-78 Mustang II was a completely new and different car. There was no body part interchangeability between the 71-73's and the II's. Since they were both manufactured at the Dearborn plant  the only thing they had in common was the Dearborn air in their tires!

Murphy's law states that if you were looking for Mustang II door panels, then all you would find would near perfect panels for a 71-73!

The clock David mentioned is one we had discussed earlier. The clock can be sourced from 74-78 Mustangs and 75-80 Granada's and Mercury Monarch's. They bolt in the same as the original 71-73 console clock and the wiring is plug and play. If your not concerned about being concours correct this at least gives you another option.

The illustration shows what Ford referred to as Digital clock in a Granada dashboard.
