Good afternoon!, I have a 72 Mach 1 with Ginger interior. It's time for new carpets for the front. I'm looking at Autorug.com. The large image looks correct (could just be a stock photo) but the color choice option (620 Ginger) looks too dark. Before ordering and being disappointed I thought I'd check for others experiences... Thanks!

I have a ginger interior in my 73. Carpet looked faded and old and wanted to swap it. I went with black and it looks awesome. I don’t have any hangups about little reversible changes and it’s not an all original rare car or anything. For what it’s worth the black actually makes the ginger pop and is a touch more modern. Just a thought.

I have an avocado interior and was in search of floor mats. I forgot the company ( looked for receipt but can’t find it) I used but they sent me samples at no cost. They carry full carpet and mats. Because of the samples I was able to make a good choice. At least I think so

I hope I got to this thread in time... As I've said in earlier posts here on 7173mustangs, and on VMF, when you go shopping for ACC carpet on some of these "bargain carpet" websites where the prices seem to good to be true, you wind up with cheap/sh** ACC carpet.

Such is the case with the #620 Ginger, that is ACC's lowest-grade nylon loop.

What you want is ACC Raylon loop #12.. ACC calls it Dark Saddle, but it's the closest to the original Ford Ginger you can get.

We have a set in-stock, NPD # CA-13-63-264F , or if you can find an HONEST discount ACC carpet drop-shipper online, you want a Raylon loop #12 with matching Mach 1 inserts carpet. Wherever you buy it, it'll be more-expensive than the #620 Ginger carpet Autorug is trying to sell you.

I've attached below the major differences between Raylon Loop and Nylon Loop. Be sure to pay attention inside the yellow highlighted areas. Also, the Raylon is a random-twisted tuft (like original), and the Nylon is corn-rowed non-twisted.
