@7173Modstangs

Do you have "during build" picts or (very) close ups from the back lights and the "shaved" honeycomb?

For the lights, I'd like to see what you did to replace the red lenses and replace by this red flat shiny plexiglass.

For the "honeycomb", I wonder how you handled the shape behind the gas cap. Metal(s) used? Know how its fixed (holes like original or sticked)

Also, some additional during build of the inside door panels would be awesome to learn from.

I wonder how you started, like have a flat shape/surface on entire door, and what did you use alu plate? plastic??

input input please! :)

They're all on my website. Www.7173modstangs.com. the original lights are completely gone. I used billet taillight bezel from Eddie motorsports, glued transparent red acrylic on the backs,then attached led boards to the back of the acrylic. Fabricated some brackets to hold them in using the original taillight  mounting bolts. I then put the reverse lights in the rear bumper. There isn't a  honeycomb panel but,the moldings for a car with a pop open gas cap were used because they're already notched. I used metal to fabricate the recess. A custom gas filler pipe had to be made aswell. I interior panels start out as flat pvc board then added wood,foam,fiberglass to obtain three dimensional shapes.

Somehow on phone, I managed to miss your previously posted url...

On these two, not sure I get the shape, does it go under the door?

So if I understand well and looking at picts, you did not use these materials just to make the desired shape to be used to create a negative moulding like for polyester, but they actually are part of the final construct. Correct?

This one clarified the smart approach very well ;)

These are the covers that go over the rear wheel wells....

Nice car! I had your web link saved on my old computer a couple years ago. Computer crapped out and I lost all the info on it. Glad to see you posted it again. I love all the mods you did to the rear bumper, a lot more cleaner look. Ryan
