Hi John,

I have a good colleague in Brisbane. Not much of a car guy, mostly into the Ducati motorcycles.

Anyway, I can't wait to get started on this Mustang. I found it on Craigslist for $1500. I offered the guy $500 and we settled on $600 US.

I'm tempted to part out the Torino but I've had so many naysayers telling me that I'll never get that car running that I must prove them wrong and get it on the road.

Tod, That IS a great price. I would have done it too, I know what you mean about finishing one project to get the next one in the garage. I'd love to pick up a vert in the 71-73 body. I'll have one one day but have a few Machs to get done first.

Hey guys. I've noticed some of the 71-73 Mustangs have a chrome front bumper and some have a molded front bumper painted the same color as the body. Did they offer two bumper styles or are people just painting over the chrome bumpers?

In 73 they had to change to a shock absorber bumper due to federal safety laws. But in 71 and 72 the Mach 1's and Boss car's came with the urethane bumper.
