Hey, neighbor! I'm in Knoxville.
Yep me to, well powell/clinton. I wondered about the knox vegas but did not say any thing
I've never seen your Mustang driving around town, but I'll definitely keep my eye out for it. Love the color!

Old K-mart on clinton highway about every Saturday night, way back in the corner usually surrounded by camaros

I'll swing by, and have a look at your "money pit."

Welcome!

As to the Goodguys show . . . my office is across the river. If folks want to come down I'll be glad to buy the first round.

I hate the Goodguys 1972 cut off though and we need to campaign to get 73's in to the show

Welcome from West Texas!

Can't wait 'til you guys get going on your project. Do yourselves a favor though: don't start off with one as far gone as mine was. But no matter where the starting point is, this is the right place for advice - I know I couldn't have gotten as far along as I have so far without everybody's advice and encouragement.

Your initial assessment was correct - this IS the best Mustang site on the 'net... in every way.

Having experienced the joy of replacing nearly every body panel on a car, I believe it's worthwhile to search out a really good specimen that's as cancer-free as possible, and that it's more than worth a little extra money. Fortunately, because so many people are off-base regarding the '71-'73 Mustangs, finding a good specimen won't be nearly as expensive as finding a good '68. Regardless, Tom needs another Mustang, and we'll do what's necessary to make it right. Looking forward to sharing the process with this community, and leaning on the community to help us over the inevitable speed bumps.

Hi Tony!

I am a little late to chime in but ::welcome:: to the site from Luxembourg/Europe.

Glad you found us.

Ya...Thats just wrong on so many levels...so many cool cars made right on 73-74..I even starting to really like the 73-74 chargers.lol..The year should keep moving as time rolls on..Hopefully things will change with that show....Granted 20 years becomes a classic is a little less than i would consider...I think 30 is a good round number...Long as its 30 years old and more..It should be able to be in a classic show...And not put with newer cars.

Maybe what we really need is to organize some '71-'73 Mustang-Only events.

Better late than never! Thanks for the welcome. I imagine your Mustang must be something of an exotic unicorn in Luxembourg.

I can see where an argument could made for a couple extra years... 72 doesn't make sense in the case of our Mustangs for sure! The last few years, I think I saw maybe 1 or 2 71-73s, so definitely underrepresented.

Don't mean to hijack your welcome thread here Seraph, so I'll post up an invite for the GoodGuys on it's own in a few days.

Please don't worry about any hijacking. This thread has served its purpose, and I've been made to feel welcome. Thanks to all. Another thread should be started on the subject of lobbying for a more inclusive policy at Goodguys, so that it can be viewed by more participants, but not for the sake of this thread, or for fear of hijacking it.

Thanks, again, one and all, for the welcome. I'll continue lurking about, reading up on your projects, and gleaning as much information as I can.

We don't like people using the "C" word on this thread....do we Q? Let alone twice in their first post.

Enjoy.
