My Car
1972 convertible with almost half a million miles 351c- T5 transmission for 24 MPG on the Hwy! Still has a few original parts on it- not many!

also have a 1975 Bricklin with less than 20k miles.
Just found this forum and joined up. Most places seem to ignore carss of this vintage- suspect many of you know this.

I have a 1972 convertible I bought in 1993 with 72k miles on it. Had one in the 1980s when I was in college that git wrecked. I drive it a bit it now has 460k miles. Has a 351 c (engine number 4) and has been modified with a T5 over drive. Also own a 75 Bricklin I bought a couple years ago for the now ex-girlfriend to drive since she could not drive a gear shifter.

Fed Ex paid for a new front end last year after one of their semi drivers backed into the car at low speed!

Welcome from Utah. Nice looking Vert'. Man, that front end mash-up sucks, but at least it was taken care of, eh?

welcome from chicago ridge il,nice to welcome another il mustang owners.

Fed Ex paid to get the car fixed. It was right around 5 grand- more than the car cost new- they did not even talk about totaling it out. Their guy did not even question the estimate from the body shop- the guy there said he is used to having every little thing argued with like it should take 3:00 to do that not 3:15. I think he may pad things a bt just in case. I got all new repro parts from CJ Pony parts except for the grill where I found a NOS one on craigslist for $75. Not sure what Concours correct is- have heard the term. I did get the old flat hood replaced with one of the cooler NASA ones since that is the only kind you can buy new and I did not want to spend the time and effort to find good old parts since I had done that all once alreaddy.

Welcome from Mustang, Oklahoma. Nice looking convertible. I liked the P.R.I. intro and I get it, I used to live in Illinois. Chuck

I was about to ask if you needed a Flat hood, till I saw that you bought a NASA hood.

I have one I was planing on selling, and I was going to be out in the Chicago area a a couple of weeks (Buffalo Grove area) I would have brought it with me for the ride.

Hello from California...where we wish our governor's were making license plates instead of knocking up maids.
