Wow small world indeed! I'm a two-minute drive from Plantation. I live on the northernmost edge of Davie, right next to 595. Would've practically been neighbors lol.
I lived in Davie a long time ago, right off Davie Road and Nova. I know that area has changed dramatically in the last 25 years but it would be cool to drive through.

Welcome from Ball Ground, Georgia and to Mustang ownership. I spent 6 years in South Florida, lived in Ft Lauderdale and Boynton Beach. Also the owner of a currenrly non-running 67 Triumph Spitfire.
Thanks for the welcome! I'm kinda familiar with Ball Ground. I spent many weekends in North Ga when I lived in Clemson, SC, and remember the odd name (no offense of course).

The great thing about the Spits/Midgets is the simplicity of everything, which helps because you.'ll be working on it constantly. With that said, the Twin SU on the 1275 is a hell of a lot of fun once you get it dialed in.

My brother has had a 76 MGB since we were in high school and it hadn't ran in about twenty years and I got it running and driving again for him four years ago. That one needed an engine overhaul, all new brakes and clutch master and slave cvlinder, and new tires and away it went. Still could use paint but it is not bad for a 35 + years old paint job
The worst job I have ever done in my entire life is bleeding the clutch/slave cylinder on an MG. All the chicken bones and voodoo in the world can't make that job a one day deal on anything less than a gallon of Dot 3.

The engines in those guys are simple to overhaul, the trouble is finding a replacement one if yours goes bad. I baby mine to preserve it as long as possible to stave off its eventual fate. Its great you got it running again. I always liked the MGB more than the Midget (mostly for the bigger size), its such a classic euro roadster look. and is a bit quicker.
