All of these shells that backdate a newer Mustang or Corvette to an older bodystyle always get one thing absolutely wrong: They leave the donor car's modern front window into the design.

The steep rake does not work with any of the older designs. Can't be that hard for these folks to rig some Dynacorn A-pillars into their designs.

Not a fan. I've seen a few in person. At first glance I thought it was interesting but now they just look weird. And they are PRICEY!!!

I think that's actually pretty cool.

Ok, some of the proportions are wrong because of the car you start with but once you start changing that it's easier to take a new Dynacorn body and build it with modern components from new donor car.

I also think that the "Shelby" vert looks better because it does without the modern roofline.

I'm not a fan too.. I dont like how they build them to look the old ones, that's just wrong if I have to say it.. :) I only like when modern touches are added to old cars, but I like that we are differents and not thinking the same! :)

They don't quite work for me...but I can see why they are perfect for some folks. Especially for a driver. I'm a modifier, as most of you know, so I'm used to the "purest" spotting a few modernized touches. I think it's great that we can all rock our cars the way we want to. We have so many car enthusiasts down here that it's just a blast to go out for a ride. I never tire of people taking pictures, and I especially love to let young kids sit in the drivers seat and get a pic to show off to their friends on social media...the old meets the new!

Johnny Spark's Reversion Mustang is probably the best incorporation of old with new, even though the front end has always been a bit off:

He succeeded in overcoming the S197's wedge appearance while complementing the factory bubble roof, which the Retrobuilts simply do not achieve:
