Not quite my birthday...But will be by the 9th...I did not expect much besides maybe what i got my self and a dinner from the family...My dad walks in with a rare 410 double barrel shot gun..And says happy birthday and gave it too me yesterday...Woot!! Nothing like getting a gun for your birthday to make you smile...Specialy odd ball guns...he knows i like really odd rare guns.......it has 26 inch barrels...Im thinking to see if its true that 410 will hold a tighter pattern than a 20 or 12 at distance...Going to set up some targets and break out my other shot guns...lol

Nice! Congrats & happy B-day on Thursday. Mine's Wednesday.

Post the results of your experiment after you do it.

Yes, Happy B-day mike & Don.That is a cool present! My wife bought me a new Ruger Blackhawk 50th anniversary 44 Mag when they came out, that was my coolest birthday ever! One guy I talked to after I got it said, you're not going to shoot it and keep it in the box are you? Hell yeah I"m gonna shoot it,I don't own looking at guns!:p

Wow. What a great present. The only 410s I have seen were the .22/410 over-unders. Never even knew that they made a double barrel. Happy Birthday to You!

The coolest gun I got was a 1962 three screw (unmodified) .357 Blackhawk from my practice wife. She's gone but the Blackhawk's a keeper!

Ohh ya...Mite as well enjoy it...and those are such nice pistols too...I dont have any rugers...But shot the hell out of plenty of them.....i got a few S&W Wheel guns..Model 25-2...25 acp.....Model 19-2...357 mag....Model 27..357 mag...Dont got a 29 yet..But they are not that much..lol....If the gun is worth over 2,000 i will think about not shooting it...Much ;) My M1 garand ww2 serial original maching barrel..stock...trigger...original finish...Worth well over 2,000 now...But im still going to enjoy and shoot it once and a while...But i have to load my own rounds for it...M1 garands need 30.06 ball ammo and that is hard to find on the shelf

Happy birthday Hyena429! I know your feeling, I received a over & under 12/70 Valmet Supertrapp shotgun at my confirmation party... It was the best confirmation party present. Ever since I've been forced to buy my own artillery

I so agree! I have a Luger 9mm pistol that inherited from my dad. He confiscated it from a German officer in Africa during WWII. Do I polish it and just look at it? Heck no! It's one of my favorite guns to shoot!

Happy Birthday, Mike and Don! Hope you guys have GREAT DAYS!!!
