1973 Coupe 351 Cleveland AOD
The driver's side rear panel of my 1973 coupe is missing the grommet that the seat belt passes through. I thought I found one on ebay. It's tan, but I thought I could paint it blue. When I took out the passenger's side grommet, thinking I could paint them both, I noticed the one I got from ebay is much bigger than the one I already had. Part number of tan one is 62611B90AWA. The blue one does not have a part number molded in. Any inputs?

Please supply actual measurements between these grommets.

The pictures above in this thread are of 1971 type seat belt rear seat outer belt grommets. 73s used a different type that are a guide for the rear seat retractable outer seat belt. The mounting holes in the side panel are also different, 73s have larger rectangular mounting holes. Late 72s used the 73 type, not sure which ones used for early 72s. See photo attached below. I have (3) 73 type and (3) 71 type for sale $35 each shipped or a pair for $60 shipped. They can be painted or dyed the color to match the interior side panels.

When I bought the car, there were no rear seatbelts. I didn't know that the car originally had retractable seatbelts in the rear, so I put in a couple of generic seatbelts just in case anyone ever sat back there (doubtful, but just in case). Based on Cleveland Crush's photo's I'm not even sure I have the proper quarter panels? I've enclosed photos just to wrap this up for anyone else out there who might run into this issue. I think I'll get a grommet from Doug and call it fixed. As always, thanks all for helping. My car would not run without this forum.

For clarification, previous seatbelt photos are of my SPORTSROOF.
