I had heard about this big show that is in the middle of nowhere in a community called Poplar, N.C. at the Green Mountain community center. They have a burn out pit just for the show, lol. I did not get up early so I got there really late after 12:00 and people were already leaving. There was a 71 coupe and a 71 fastback made into a Mach 1. Lots of nice cars though. Will try to get there early next year. Was about 85 miles one way. I thought I was going to run out of gas there were absolutely no stores or corner grocery or anything. Just beautiful curvy mountain roads and rivers.

When I got home went to Brevard NC to the Cardinal Drive in and also some great cars there several Mercury cruisers. 

A few pics. They said the field was full at one time but hot and people started leaving early.
