R code Grande

It’s possible those cars were in accident and crushed way back when.And even the people that had them back then didn’t really put any kind of a thought that they would be something special.And when gas prices went to .50 a gallon they sure would have been something worthless.I guess there is a generation of people today that have put these cars a pedestal that people back then just saw them as another transportation vehicle.

If there were any 1971 Q codes they were late in the year production. Most were M code in 71. My C code is not loaded. I’ll post Marti.
Here is the Marti on the El Paso car as well as mine and a blue one in California. This is 25% of the C code Grandes made. Mine is the one sold new in Austin TX.

They are all retail so someone ordered them that way. Not dealer stock.

The yellow 72 R code is gone. Destroyed in a fire. I have seen a white base coupe R code, and a red loaded coupe R code. So that is 3 of them. Could be 4 left. Who knows.
