Want to buy ASAP a reproduction 71-73 ram air snorkel only. Thanks

4mm, don't recall seeing the reproduction duct and valve separately for 71-73. I would check with Don (OMS) and see if it is something that is separate from the 3641QX Dynacorn base. He would know better than anyone. :)

Is the snorkel not the same. The base is with just a different top part and the drain holes for the water? I have one here for ram but not 4-V so I cannot compare except 73 and that is different.

David
Not sure what year application 4MM is needing, but the duct & valve for 71 and 72 (72 w/o-NOX emissions) for a 351C with and without ram air would be the same. 72 Nox equipped and all 73's would have the provision for the flex hose that connected to the hard plastic tube that ran under the battery. The later model style should still attach to early air cleaner housing. :)

Thanks for the replies all. I have a 71 3514v. I need a reproduction to modify and attach to an original ram air base.

Any snorkel off a 71, early 72 4-V should fit the base of the ram air. If you look at the stamping used in the base of the ram air that fits on the carburetor and look at one that is not ram air they are the same with the exception of three holes pierce in the bottom to allow water to drain out. It is the top part of the ram air base that is different. Not the lid but the stamping that holds the rubber seal for the plenum in the hood. You should be able to take the two screws out of the non ram air snorkel and put directly on the ram air base.

I thought I had a picture of each but do not see one. I think this is also true of the 73 with the flex hose just take one off a regular 4-V and apply to the ram air.

I think that is what Steve confirmed with his message.

Could be wrong but me and a parts seller were just looking at this a couple weeks ago.

Found what I was looking for. Thanks everyone.

Found what I was looking for and I won't need to modify the snorkel.

Thanks everyone

Yes. It's a snorkel cover plate. Seeing if I can reduce the heat intake for the EFI by going true ram only air. Where I live it's about as hot as the desert and 40deg winters lol.

Here's an example of how it looks in an engine bay.
