I wanted to say that Bob at RCC Innovations did a great job and extremely quick work and return of my non-functioning tach. Great throughout the process with shipping/repairing/upgrading it to a modern 3-wire. Also great at assisting me with the new connections to get it working. Bob, the tach works perfect, thank you.

Yeah, he definitely has a really great reputation. We are fortunate to have such good quality in product and service with some of our fellow pony car enthusiasts.

I had him convert a clock to a tach, it looks and functions awesome.
 
This guy had his warning light converted to tach last year. A guy could not be more happier with that fellers work!! A Q code with out a tach and gauges! It’ll be fine. Pretend I didn’t see that!!

@TheRktmn Bob is one of the few folks I regard to be absolute exerts in anything he recommends, offers, or posts. When the day come I need help with electrical devices he is my only Go To resource I would consider reaching out to.
 
If you do ask what oil to put in my Cleveland!!
No need to wait for an answer. I can offer my thoughts on that subject. If you are running with old school (original style) flat tappet lifters and matching cam (hydraulic or solid), you need to use an oil that comes with Zinc additive, or you need pour some additive supplement into the oil crankcase. Without the Zinc you risk wiping our your cam lobes and lifter faces. Modern engine oil rarely has any Zinc in it as it has been shown to foul catalytic converters.

As for my recommendation of an oil to use, I use AmsOil Z-Rod Synthetic oil, 10W/30. When the comes that our engines begin to use oil due to normal wear and age I will move to 10W/40. They have a heavier/thicker weight Z-Rod also, but once I reach that point I will have excuse enough to rebuild the engine(s), and will beef up the internals at the same time - moderate street/street build.
