Hey guys,

recently I was on the biggest vintage car parts market in Europe, the "Veterama" in Mannheim... Discovered some nice treasures ;) and one wheel that I got for 15 bucks for making something like a nice and unique wall lamp...

Do you know from which car and manufacturer it may was?!? It looks like the gold old Magnums but not so pronounced in design. But it seems to be very old though...

Here are my other treasures

20 bucks - all original

Original Matchbox by Lesney England - 15 bucks

Me and my best friend Oliver with our new Gulf racing overalls for Mustang-maintenance :D

And some impressions from the market with some rare cars...

And if somebody has some cooling problems I found the right part

lollerz

Cheers ::thumb::

That wheel was manufactured by Motor Wheel Corporation for Buick. Not sure but I believe Buick used that rim from 1969 through the mid 80's. Guess the Buick people liked the rim for so long since it was a nice looking rim and was at least different from the more common Magnum 500 used by Ford, Chrysler, and the other GM divisions.

Nice find on the auxiliary cluster. Looks almost new.

Sure were a lot of nice looking cars there, but the one that blew me away was the Dodge Charger. Don't see many of the "First" ones anywhere!!

Steve,

thank you for the quick response! I knew that somebody of you guys would know... ::thumb::

Cool - as I heard that from you I did a quick search and... tadaaa, the first Buick with exactly that wheels appear:

Yes, the auxiliary cluster was my shot of the day - it is very well kept and the trader even didn't know what he has had :D Such a luck you have only once...

The Charger was also one of the best cars compared in condition there. It seemed to be all well kept original - awesome car! It was always on Oliver's mind this day...

Hi Tim,

Looks like you had a good day and ended up with some nice goodies. Thanks for sharing the great pics. You guys scrub up well in the work clothes too.:)

That centre gauge pod was a sweet bargain buy - i'm envious.

Some nice cars there as well.

Cheers,

Greg.:)

On the wheel, I'd say Buick/Oldsmobile.
Yeah, thank you for your confirmation ::thumb::

Greg,

thank you - we guys are looking good in everything we wear, you know - even potato sacks... ::chili::

It was an impressive day, you're right - so much parts for cars and bikes you was not even knowing from... So much people, too - it was like a big classic rock music festival - without music but engine-sounds and gas-smell instead ;)

Hey Chuck,

I told Oliver from you and he was very surprised and happy to hear from you. He did not know that I am hanging around with you in that forum for years... ;)

He has now restored a 1969 428CJ and we did a maiden voyage 2 weeks ago - it was awesome!!!

If you want I could give you the contact...

I should say a happy hello to you back from him!

Tim

Nice Opels in the pics, too, but the Audi and Ford coupes are pretty darn nice.
