speaker covers mounting

I was looking at the door speaker covers on my 1971 vert and I see that they have an external screw in each of the 4 corners, is this the correct mounting? from the few pictures I have seen on other cars there are no screw heads showing, any help would be great as I'm getting ready to replace the lower door carpet.

No screws. Tabs on the back side.
