I've always been a big fan of the sport and dog dish wheel covers.

Not to mention that those are 14x7" Sport Wheel Covers which many have claimed were unique to 1969 and 1970.

The wider cover and 1971+ argent centers shown here suggest otherwise, and that these covers were available in 14x7" into 1971.

I believe my 71 had the sport wheel cover from the 14x7's. That's what was on it when I bought it. Not sure if they are original but that's what was on it. Heres a crappy pic of it the day I bought it. Hard to see them but they are there.

Wow Turtle5353 - with the exception of the spoilers, TuTone on the hood, and missing Mach 1 decals, that is the car I fell in love with when I was 14. ::thumb::

I have a couple sets of the 14x7. I have about 4 sets of the Sport Wheel covers to get 4 that were show worthy with no curb rash or one of the lugs twisted off. The stainless dish for the 7" wheel is noticebly deeper.

I recently acquired a set [of sport covers] from Kurt that need some minor restoration (nothing major - just clean-up, paint, and polish... with a little bit of light massaging of a couple of smallish dingers). They're the 'shallow' covers, but I don't care - they're freaken awesome!

I actually snapped them onto the wheels before I tucked it away into the garage this past weekend. I'll roll it out sometime this coming weekend and snap a couple pics before I start cleaning them up. I love 'em!

It is amazing to see how clean single stage paint looked when it was brand new back then. The first picture depicts this very well!
