Is anybody switch from stainless steel to soft hoses to replace the transmission cooling lines? (using hydraulic high pressure hoses).

Why? Replacement steel lines are available and fairly inexpensive (under 50 dollars US) Even if you have to pay double that for being in France, it is still cheaper than having a pair of hydraulic hoses made. The fluid pressure through the cooler isn't all that high. In the past I have cut steep lines, flared them a bit and used rubber lines with hose clamps to add aftermarket transmission coolers. Never had a leak or a problem.

Those parts shipped from US to France, you don't know how it will be delivered at home, it's not a water pump but a pair of hoses which can't be badly damaged during transportation, resulting in useless equipment.

Well if you are afraid it can't be delivered intact, then you could have the lines bent locally. It is a fairly simple matter to do and as long as you can buy the proper diameter lines and fittings and a 45 degree double flare tool it is really pretty easy.

Still I would contact a manufacturer with your shipping concerns and perhaps they will have a solution
