I have had my Mustang for just over 2 years now. Had some issues with the carb and gearbox that seemed to take forever to solve but they are solved at last. The car runs like a dream now.

I was intending on a concourse restoration but with a lot of thought i will go for the majority being finished off concourse. The one thing i have changed is the exhaust system. Originally there was a single exhaust. I did not like the sound a single exhaust give off so i have opted for a stainless twin exhaust. I bought a original carb from a fellow member of this site. When i tried to fit it it turned out to be a 2150 and not a 2100. Had a few issues and couldnt work out why till i discovered it was a 2150. After all the issues i don't intend changing it again. So another piece not entirely concourse.

100% concourse or not, I bet there are very few in the UK with this level of detail.

What carb is it? 2150 is that a two barrel. I may have an original if it is I will give it to you

Originally was a 2100. Last owner put a aftermarket on. Purchased a original carb from a fellow site member assuming it was a 2100. When it arrived i sent it off for glass bead blasting which made it look brand new. Then sent it off to be professionally rebuilt. When i tried to put it on the car it had differant channels and differant height. It was only then did i read the tag on it and discovered it was a 2150. Took me a while to figure out i need a universal spacer. Fitted the carb and the nightmare continued. Had it looked at by a specialist and he told me the floats had not been set up correctly and it was sucking air in through the leaky gasket. 2 months of ripping me hair out at a non running car. After all that hassle i think i will retain the carb i have for now. Will look for a original 2100 when the car is finished in around 2 years. Thats when i will go over the whole car and look for work that is not concourse
