Weird Shock Tower Brace Bracket Thing

Hey, fellas, I know I saw a thread some while back, wherein this little bracket (on the shock tower brace) was identified. I can't remember what it is, and I can't seem to find the thread. Can someone identify this for me, and/or point me to the thread?

I've never seen one on that side before. Are you thinking of the retainer clamp for the 1971 power steering hose loop - which sits on the left side?

Looking at the hardware used to retain it, are we sure it is original?

Guys, I seem to recall from the thread I originally saw, that it was stated that the part was factory installed. Thanks for chiming in! I'm sure a fellow member will happen along to inform us, anytime now...

well its not a power steering hose holder bracket, it really looks like an engine lift 'L' bracket.

or i have seen a bracket like that for an aftermarket cowl brace where a connector goes over the engine to keep the shock towers from rolling inward.
