i got my convertible top installed it has a glass window. so the installer told me to leave it up for 2 weeks .i just put it down and the top sits way high .it is laying on the well liner .i did notice that the clarence in the trunk  between the bottom of the liner and trunk is at least 3 inches more.so the well liner seems to be shallower i got a ez on well liner one of the best i'm told . but not happy with it at all  any one else had a problem with the top sitting way to high ?  after a new top and liner ?

A picture of your car with the roof down would help. Below is a pic of how my roof sits when fully down. Are you able to press the roof down further?

When I restored my car, I replaced my inner and outer wheel wells on one side. The seam/lip where the inner and outer wheel wells meet creates a verticle edge that sticks up about and inch. Ford would flatten this lip to create more clearance and eliminate the risk of the sharp edge damaging the roof material.

how do you upload pictures

my old top with out a glass window sat very low  but the new one no way  the firs pic is as far down as it will go it sucks the last pic is the distance from the bottom of the well liner and the trunk  i know i cant leave it    thank for the help

Yep. looks way too high. I'll try and get a well liner measurement like you did for you. I assume you have the original inner and outer wheel wells so there is no lip issue as I described earlier.

Here are a few pictures of the well measurements in each of my two 73 verts.  They look about the same as yours. 11 " to the bar and 12" to the stitching above it from the lowest point in the trunk floor. The first two pics of my one car are shorter by an inch than your car and my other car. I hope it helps.
