Wheel sizes

Again thanks for the add.  Mustangs are new to me but looking to put some new wheels on my 73 Grandé.  Can anyone suggest or give info on the off set?  I am looking at getting 15 inch wheels, 7 or 8in width and want to put 235 on the front and 255 on rear.  And, any suggestions on where to find a good set without paying an arm and a leg?  Thank you in advance.

Hey BobbyM. Welcome. I swapped out to new 15" wheels about two years ago. If you want the same wheel size front and back, a 8x15" with zero offset, 4.5" back space should work just fine, with 235/60 and 255/60. However, IMHO, the best wheel tire combo has the rears at 10x15" with 5" offset, or 5.25 if you want to push it, with a 295/50 in the rear. The monkey wrench in this set up is that to get the 5" backspace you almost always have to get them made to order. There is a link below which can help you visualize what it would look like.
