"Here I want to inform you that if you want to beat your competitors and boost your business in the web market, you should not delay in your website promotion as there is a huge rush in the web market for accruing the top page."

seems my distant uncle who is a king in exile from our native Africa has gotten into the computer business.

I got an email for his "website services"

Promotional talk. That is how the marketing folks utilize written communication. I'd bet even they dont talk like that... enjoy! :)

They write basically what they want to say then dump it through a web based translator and tah dah! The company I work for is German and below the upper echelons they do this with documents, e-mails, etc. Sometimes we stare at the messages in wonderment, like, WTF wonderment, and sometimes we just laugh and wet ourselves. Makes things hard to get done sometimes. Some of the best ones come from the e-mail translator that simply leaves out things it can't figure out and all you get is verbs.

mmmmm, the 21st century

I worked with a guy from China who had a really had time with english sentence structure. We would take a normal english paragraph, send it thru an on-line translator to be converted to Chinese, then we would cut-and-paste that into the online translator and translate the chinese back into english.... It came out as if he was speaking it...

Ha ha. Oh great exalted ruler, king of kings and emperor of the land of Texas lol. Its funny language alright. When English isn't your mother tongue you don't realise how easy it is to get it wrong. It reminds me of those old eastern European bloke that swear at the end of every sentence. Kind of like this.
