It´s ok as long as you keep removing top steps from the ladder and there is at least one left. Once you have removed the very last one, the floor becomes the top step and you´re screwed. You´d have to come up with some levitating technique because you´d not be allowed to stand on the floor..... Uhm.... sorta.....

I gotta go lay down.....

If the safety rule on ladders is "not to stand on the top step".... why is there a top step? Of course if you remove the top step ....now you are confronted with a new top step!
This reminded me of some pictures I used to use for "safety moments" at the start of meetings:

And to think those wimps at the power company use straps and cleats to get up this high:

Step 1: Remove shoes. Step 2: Place metal ladder in water.

Step 3: Begin using CORDED power tools while standing barefoot on metal ladder in water:

Necessity is the mother of WHAT?

Don't worry, those are super strength zip ties:

DonC you have some good ones there, I'm not going to ask about the one that appears the guy is in shorts wearing cowboy boots and a hat, the one from India???? now that is a good carpenter..LOL .... apparently the ole ladder in the stairwell trick is 'in" the handbook...it looks popular. :D But hats off to the dude balancing on the handle of the step ladder. He may be missing his career at Ringling Bros...or MAYBE that IS where he works!!!
