Tire Size

Was looking at getting some Magnums for my Boss 351 standard suspension and brakes...

Wanting to have fat tires on the rear..was looking at 15x7 upfront and 15x8 out back..what size tires can I fit...

I'm running 255/60/15 on the back and 235/60/15 up front with those same size rims. At least I believe that's what the front is; might be a 235/65/15, but I believe it's a 60. They fit very nicely and help with the fact the front end on mine is pointing to the sky, so the bigger tires in the back help it out some, but I still need to work on that problem. There's room to go a little bigger in the back, but not much of any bigger up front without it rubbing the control arm.

I'm running 245x60 Avengers on 8x15 Magnum rims with a 4.5inch offset up front and 295x50 Avengers on 10x15 Magnum rims with a 5 inch offset up back on the '73 Vert. You will need 5 leaf rear springs to eliminate tire rub probs on the back though.

Also, On the '73 Mach 1, i'm running 245x60 Avengers on 8x15 US Indy mags with a 4.5 offset up front, and 295x50 Avengers on 9x15 US Indy mags with a 5 inch offset. Five leaf springs are the go here as well.

Glad you dig my setups. Your old girl is looking tops and getting big attention and raves wherever i go . I'm looking after her very well and giving her the best of attention. (Just had the carb professionally rebuilt too)

295/50/15 with an 8" wheel with 4.5 backspace will fit.
