so I was considering an aluminum radiator to go with my engine rebuild and upgrade but decided to keep my stock original radiator. Copper does transfer heat more efficiently than aluminum. It is working great. Still has the D3ZE stamp on it. Car ran at 185 even though it was 94 out. Mt question is this. It looks like a 44 year old Rad. What should I use to repaint it that will not effect heat transfer?

Might want to do a search on 'radiator paint' and read thru what comes up (not only here, but also using something like 'Google'). Use a proper radiator paint such as http://www.eastwood.com/ew-radiator-black-paint-gloss-aerosol-12-oz.html

Radiator paint is designed to be thin and not clog up the fins. If you use the wrong paint and clog the fins, you'll pretty much turn the flow-thru core into a brick.

would use the black hi heat paint from home depot for $5, will work great!

I would use the High Heat spray pant from Home Depot, $5, will work/look great
