1972 Equalizer Bar Assembly - Springs Not Cooperating!

Hey guys, I'm working on a rebuild of a '72 mustang and finally got to the clutch assembly, and more specifically the equalizer bar assembly. we bought the components from CJ Pony, but we are having an issue where the clutch pedal wont return back to the normal position after pressing it in. we have the lower clutch release spring (green or blue colored spring) installed correctly but i believe the spring to bring the equalizer bar back to its original position is too weak and wont pull it back in place.

Any suggestions or recommendations for the correct spring to use for this?

The clutch free play has to be adjusted to factory spec, or the pedal will stay down about an inch.
