I removed and took apart my upper control arm. Looks like I just need a new set of shaft seals and a new ball joint. Can anyone tell me where I can just purchase the seals? I Googled the part but couldn't find anything for sale. My shaft looks fine except the seals were torn. Also, will I need a set of O rings? I have seen these for sale but not sure if they were used on the UCA shaft.

Thanks.

I've seen two styles of shaft seal, the o-ring and an external boot. If you have the o-ring style, any hardware store should have suitable replacements. The boots I have no idea where you'd get them.

Thanks. I have the external boot. Wasn't sure if I needed the boot and the o-ring.
Will try and track down the boots.

global west 3 degree +caster upper control arms.no more squeaks and car will not wander all over the road.you will thank me later!

Well I did some Googling and came across these upper control arm shaft seals that are sold by classicparts.com:

https://classicparts.com/1963-72-contol-arm-shaft-seal-upper-c10.

The site sells Chevy truck parts but when I spoke to someone at the company, they told me the seal dimensions were almost exact to my original seal so I ordered some (see pic for comparison).

Looks a little smaller than my original one but will be installing it on my control arm shaft this weekend. Will let everyone know how it works.

Seeing as you are dismantling your front suspension I thought I would mention this even though it may not apply in your case.
Some time ago I had lateral movement in my upper arm. On further inspection I found the thread on the nut holding the upper arm axil was not locking up to the axil sheath. I put it down to the age of the car and bought new complete upper arm replacements for both sides. The new threads also didn't hold. It might pay to have a good look before you re-install.
