Typical auction house BS. With the bright aluminum strips along the body, it would not have had the hood blackout that looks wrong anyway. Still, might be a good buy if the price is right.

I think with the Ram Air option it could have the hood painted and have the lower bright trim. The side stripe and bright trim weren't available together, though.

Hood paint was part of the RamAir option and was not connected to the standard bright trim. Car is missing the hood locks and ram air hardware, so it's an add on like 90% of the 71-73s are sporting today anyway.

I do agree the article is trash. It's mixing information from different generations.

It also doesn't have the 351 RAM AIR sticker on the hood
... but come guys! don't be that critical of a car that set over 260 speed and endurance speed records
