Sweet looking! Any general estimate when she'll be "on the road" 70cobrascj?
Thanks Iā€™d say in about 2 weeks
I plan to bring it home Tuesday when itā€™s in the 60ā€™s I have to bed line the trunk then start putting it back together which shouldnā€™t take too long.
Oh and clean clean clean before I can put stuff back together.

Itā€™s like a big sticker itā€™s three pieces the front piece and the sides are separate. They give you one extra side piece.
Then you mask off the rest of the sides.

I definitely do not want to highjack this thread, but as others have asked about the stencil I figured I'd put my experience here as well. I used the same stencil from Graphic Express for mine. It is a quality product and I'd use it again.

The stencil looked a tad narrow to me when I first laid it out. A couple of members here with original survivor cars were kind enough to provide precise measurements of their hood paint dimensions. I used David's (Carolina Mountain Mustangs) measurements to lay out the stencil. Turns out I had to modify the stencil to add an inch +/- of width on each side, all the way front to back.

Now, back on topic. Beautiful paint job! I sure wish my paint looked as good as yours!

Iā€™d like to supply some info for people thinking of using this stencil and its placement.
If you put it too far back like I did it makes the sides too small where the raised snorkels taper down towards the front.
Not to noticeable especially if you donā€™t know about these cars. Moving it an inch forward would have widened that area.

My Mach1 did not have the factory hood stencil paint option. But as far as it's exact placement....the Ford production line usually got it somewhat close but not exact most of the time. After 50+ years there continues to be many opinions and debate is what is "correct" on our cars. Fact is, no two 71,72,73 Stang rolled off the assembly line put together EXACTLY the same way or "Perfect" to book spec.
Even though newly built 2025 cars remain closer to spec then the 1970's, they are still far from exact book specs.
My opinion boys.
