Why did you buy a 71-73 coupe?

I was nearing retirement in 2015 and wanted to rekindle my car hobby from that I had soon after I graduated college in 1985 buying a '64 Corvette (327/365) and a couple of years later adding a '68 (327/350), both coupes. I did a full mechanical resto on the '64 and a bit of tweaking on the '68...

What did you do today instead of working on your Mustang?

I handloaded for my 416 Remington for a bit of range time on Wednesday prepping for a hunt in Zimbabwe in a couple weeks.

Sounds like you need to meet a Mennonite, Hutterite or Amish lass.

    Only in SoCal

I grew up in the Bay Area and married a SoCal girl I met in college (SLO) and, thankfully, left the state in 1996. I now live in two places, the Texas Hill Country and far north Idaho (from where I type) and see loads of classic cars almost daily. In fact, I have three solid "classic" car shops...

    Only in SoCal

I have homes one in the Texas Hill Country and other in far north Idaho (from where I type), both small towns and I see a load of "proper" cars at both locations. There is a guy up here that runs around in a 427 T-Bolt. Another just down the road has two Mopars, a 440 GTX and a 340 AA/R Cuda...

Need trustworthy engine builder near Los Angeles.

I would call these folks and ask if they are interested. I have not used them but many on the Cobra forums have. http://www.coasthigh.com/

What did you do today instead of working on your Mustang?

I replaced the pump on our weed sprayer and had this little guy show up about 30 yards out. Beautiful fur on the bear. He ate for a while then moseyed off.

What did you do today instead of working on your Mustang?

I installed my replacement windshield washer fluid reservoir and pumps on our 2006 Suburban that resides in our second home in north Idaho. Chevy dealer wanted $300 whilst Rock Auto wanted $40. As the battery was dead it was a one stop fix.

    Front End Replacement is Complete

I had the gas-adjusts and they just felt hard, too firm. Now all is very compliant but with such a conversion I do not know that I can really "blame" it all on the KYB's. I ran them many years ago in a 64 and 69 Corvette.

    Front End Replacement is Complete

Out went the original (literally) front suspension/steering on my 73 Mach 1 and in went a Street or Track coil over system with their strut rods (Shaun was a pleasure to work with during the install and alignment). New tie rods ends via Moog and new idler and pitman arms. New 4 1/2 leaf mid-eyes...

    New mufflers

My car, a 73 Q Code Mach 1, came with Flowmaster 40's. The first "mod" I did was to toss them for Dynomax Super Turbo's. All is good now.
