Thanks for the update. I cleaned out the gutter as much as I could and just installed the new seal with out any sealant to see if the gutter would hold the rubber seal with out sealant. it seems to hold, but I'm sure if it is bumped it will probably pop out. The trunk lid was hard to close...

What does the "4" and "5" refer to in the above diagram. Is it some sort of sealant? Where is the diagram from? Can you show us the full picture? Any info would be appreciated.

Do the new trunk seals need to glued in place or will the gutter hold them in place? The original one seems to have been glued in.

Rebuild brakes and flush brake system on the 72 Mach 1. Replaced all 4 wheel cylinders and replaced master cylinder. A good mate came over in his convertible to help out.
