73 Mach 1 Strut Rod Nut

    You might try a 25mm or 27mm. 1" equals 25.4mm. 3mm equals 1/8".

    SWAPMEET! Got lucky....maybe.

No idea on the D0AE-N heads. The guy I got my first pair of CC heads from had a couple of D0AEs, but they were ported and pricey. Not what I was looking for. I'm sure they are gone now, it's been a couple years.

    SWAPMEET! Got lucky....maybe.

I've got great news, today! I'm the proud poppa of one bouncing baby boat anchor! Fortunately, that is the 73 open chamber head. So far, the closed chamber head does not have any cracks. The shop is going to clean more rusty crusty off and double check.

    I've strayed, again.

I love that body style with that front bumper. Saw pics of a black one years ago with white strobe stripes on the C pillar and the GTX/Roadrunner hood. Seriously cool car!

    Removing vinyl top

Some of the clips have studs and nuts inside the car. Best way is probably headliner out.

It's better than dentless paint removal.

That makes the fastback glass shorter in height, correct?

Why our cars get bad fuel milage

At stoplights, I can see the person behind you trying to swerve out of your way!

    Reinforcing Bondo

Look to West System Marine Epoxy fillers. There are various types that add an enormous amount of strength to the epoxy. Might work in Bondo. The upside of iron sounds....sketchy.

Why our cars get bad fuel milage

You know....on a side note....a 71/73 Mustang trailer using the front clip and full hood blended with the last foot of the 71/73 might actually be pretty cool. And have the hood open like normal.

Why our cars get bad fuel milage

Well, it all depends on what kind of driving you want to do. For the drag guys or the Friday night car show crowd, mileage may not be the point. I have a different set of considerations that keep me from planning a hp build. I like to drive my cars, not a little bit, but a lot. Every year I...

Don't you love the "I'm gonna fix'er up one of these day, guys!"

But it all depends on what his definition of 'fix her up' means. For many people it's do enough stuff to pass inspection and drive around the block. Not everyone has a full blown restoration in mind. Still doesn't mean it will happen...

    4R70W transmission swap

Hello Bubba, I haven't done the swap, but have been considering either a 5 speed manual or AOD swap. But I've been talking to a transmission rebuilder and he says he doesn't even want to mess with AODs anymore. Not strong enough (we weren't even talking high hp/tq) and not a real 4th overdrive...

That's what I told my wife....don't sell anything until I am room temperature.

    SWAPMEET! Got lucky....maybe.

Oh, and then I ran into CWalker on the way to the van. He said he thought about buying the heads when the guy told him $100. But, he seemed happy with a transmission and rear gear set he bought from someone else. Something about he had some space in his garage to fill and the heads weren't big...

    SWAPMEET! Got lucky....maybe.

Went to a swapmeet today. Wasn't there half an hour and spotted a couple cleveland cylinder heads. The one I could see was open chamber, but you have to look anyway, right? Sure enough it's an open chamber 4v D3 head. Spun the other one around and it's also a 4v...closed chamber. D1AE GA. Look...

One More Time, Happy 430 Day
