    TrickFlow Heads

Thanks. Definitely leaning towards the hyd roller. The guy doing the build was bragging up his flow bench so hopefully will get some numbers to compare to the advertised.

    TrickFlow Heads

I should also add that this is a pure street car, no trips to the track (it closed a couple years back) . It will mostly be a run around town car with the odd trip to the mountains [/align]

    351C Distributor

Autolite 12127. Put a Pertronix electronic ignition conversion into it last fall and never got car to fire again. I'm in the process of an engine rebuild and will be switching to an MSD unit. Can probably find original points and condensor from it around here somewhere if wanted. I'm hoping to...

    Charcoal Cannister

Just removed the canister from my car and was ready to throw it in the garbage when I figured I'd see if it had any actual use. Thanks to 72HCODE for the great write up. I will be cleaning it up and putting back where it belongs. So much useful info on this site, thanks too all who contribute

    Heater box seal rplm't

Is it true there is no kit for a non ac 71 mustang heater box? I'm sure I could create my own but I usually take the easy route if possible. Are there supposed to be "caps" on either end of the core to keep it from flopping around? Thanks again for any help

    Your Restoration Regrets

Finishing the job I started before tackling something else, never easy to remember how it came apart 3 months later

    28 to 31 spline axels

Thanks for the replies. I was worried as well about the tapered ends but seems as though it shouldn't be a problem. I'm not really running the power to justify the 31 spline so may go with changing the gears to fit the 28s. Probably should have checked it closer but a few drinks and a dark...

    28 to 31 spline axels

I currently have a 9" 3.00 open centre section in my 71 Mach1. Yesterday I came across a currie trac-loc center section that I thought I couldn't pass up for the price. Now that I got it home and actually checked it out I see a major problem, it is for 31 spline axels. Is it a big deal to switch...

    Dash lights / turn signal

I too am waiting to see how things turn out. Just replaced printed circuit there was obvious damage from clock issue and 3 or 4 connections were fried. Turn signal indicators and fuel gauge still not working.

    Mechanical vs Vacuum secondary

Probably going to go with the try both and see what i like. Just trying to get ready for a safety inspection this week and once its actually on the road I'll begin seeing what i'm dealing with. Managed to run new e-brake setup today. Not ideal rubbing across exhaust but it works.
