I'm in my 20th month of restoring an all matching Mach 1 that I purchased on 22 Sep 12. As I worked on the car the more I found wrong with it the more I started leaning doing it all. Before I knew it I was all the way to the frame. My intentions were not to fully restore but I changed my mind as I wanted to do it right. Everything is new or was restored in my garage. All wiring is brand new also. Lot's of metal has been replaced to include: Hood, cowl, front inner fenders, front fenders, radiator support, rear quarter panels, rear inner and outer wheel housing, rear tail panel, trunk panel and floor pans. Its out getting painted as we speak, today it received its final block sand and 4th and final coat of primer and will get 2 coats of sealant and then 3 base coats of paint and 3 clear coats. Looking forward to getting it back in a few weeks and putting the final touches on it. We did all the work except the metal works and now the painting. This project doesn't happen without this forum cause I asked a lot of questions and searched a lot of answers. I also had some awesome help from a few friends. I will post when it gets back home and I finish the inside.
