    3 link with panhard bar?

A watts link like everyone said, is better than a pan hard bar. Go to http://fays2.net/fays2_watts_link_11_.html. Their stuff is bolt in for mustangs. Weight would be negligible, a few pounds is not going to make any difference. Just a reminder all the trans-am cars back in the day 60's and...

429 with hi ford racing valve covers- ?any brake booster probs

Thanks, Finmach.I think they call it a safety plate. In case of throttle linkage failure this plate will keep the screws and nuts from falling into the intake and cylinders. Newer dominators don't have that problem anymore because I think they made the linkage like the 4150's. I could be wrong...

429 with hi ford racing valve covers- ?any brake booster probs

Hello. I am running a BBF with factory power disk brakes and the Ford Racing valve covers too. I have no problems with it hitting the master cylinder. Yes it is close but it still clears fine. I have factory 429 engine mounts also. From the pic you can not see the master cylinder because it...

    Header Selection

Go with the FPA headers. I have the Hooker super comp. 2 1/8" tubes,3 1/2" collectors ceramic coated headers like some others here and i did not like them at all from the begining. The craftsmenship sucked, pin holes in the welds and I ended up having to fab. up the number 3,4,7,8 tubes...

    Small block or big block?

Go big block 460. They are cheap, plentiful and a plethera of after market parts. Cost wise you can build it just as cheap or cheaper and be ahead. If it is for street use mainly, then all the more to go big block. Torque is what you want and you can't beat a big block when it comes to that...

Having problems starting the Alumium Headed 521

I ran into a similar problem with the header coming close the the oil pan drain plug bolt. You might try getting a button head socket cap screw. It has a lower head profile than a hex bolt and you can use a ball end allen wrench to get it at an angle. It worked for me.

Having problems starting the Alumium Headed 521

After all the complaints i have been reading about MSD coils going bad, I wonder if they had any quality issues. I had a brand new MSD BLasterII coil on my 545 and it failed. It puked out all the oil only after a few hours of run time. I too got a MSD epoxy filled high vibration coil to...

    Vented Tank for Mach

This was on the 429 mustang cougar site. "The D1Z pop open gas cap above was used on all 1971 Mach 1s. It incorporated a built in seal as shown by the red arrow at center. We believe the similar D2Z Pop Open cap, rear view shown below left (identical to D1Z, but no seal), was released to be...
