Well what can I say....I'm tired of dealing with the BS. The last car I had that caused this much trouble was a 65 Chevelle. I thought having power windows was going to be "cool" maybe you guys know someone with better luck than me. Tired of getting screwed over by "suppliers". I've been looking 2 years for power window parts... so I cant finish the interior, that is the bad

The good: the car runs wonderful, lots of power with its original motor and tranny. The outside? this was one of the best bodies I've ever seen, two spots on her about the size of a quarter and one place in the trunk the width of a pencil. I can prove the car to be completely disassembled upon paint process. It is a beautiful car, and driven to cruise in's every weekend. 65,000 original miles.

351 2v

FMX

Gauge pkg

a/c (not installed)

Magnum 500's

If you know someone that is brave and has good luck finding stuff, I'm done! I dont expect you guys to buy it because we all know its value but if you hear of someone let me know.

Post as many pics as you can including the trunk, engine, interior and underside. Pictures tell a thousand words as some people actually buy a car sight unseen based on just good pictures.

As far as power window parts go - that was a very rare option and junk yards are probably your only source. The 71-73 Cougars probably had the same setup.

Thanks Va!! yeah I've begged searched ...begged some more... no LUCK. I've found 2 but they are a different design for our cars. one of our members has a nice set but it doesnt fit the design for Mach I. But at least he tried. Cant say the same for suppliers. Maybe somebody else is luckier than me. I've been searching Cougars no luck yet.

little sound track :D

this hopefully gives a good before shot of the whole car before paint. BTW, the car is a true Mach I, but it's suppose to be red. The previous owner tried his hand at painting and changed it to black... I loved it so kept the scheme

Dana, step away from the car & computer, take a deep breath and then log back on and delete this thread before you do something you'll regret later.

If you had the window switches would you still sell it?

I'll donate a set of manual window assemblies to you for your car as a stop gap until you find the parts to make the power ones work correctly.

Otherwise I'd buy it but my mustang budget for next year is already allocated with unfunded earmarks for additional mustang stuff.

Reading the post, I can't tell specifically what parts you are needing for the power windows. I myself order a power window switch (chrome face with brass prongs in rear) from National Parts Depot. I also found window motor scissors at CJ Pony Parts I think. I hope that is helpful. That is a beautiful car and would be a shame to see it go![/php]
