1971 Paint Scheme Bright Blue Metallic 3077-A

Gents-

I have seen both, and so I have to ask: For 1971 Paint Code #3077-A, Bright Blue Metallic, should the lower Rocker areas, below the stainless trim (this car came with trim) be painted with BLACK or Argent accents? I fear it is Argent, but I am hoping for Black! Thanks so much!

griffbl, all 71 Mustangs with the lower accent paint received black paint (Along with black stripes if equipped) EXCEPT "A" #1724 black, "C" #3542 Dark Green Metallic, "J" #3657 Grabber Blue, and "6" # 3077 Blue Metallic. These four colors received Argent paint (and stripes if equipped).

I've seen Grabber and Blue Metallic cars with the black paint and they do look good. I say unless your doing concours, paint it the way you like.
