I need help trying to install my top cover.
I have the original and a replacement.
With the top fully down neither cover will fit. Do I need to bleed the system so I goes lower? If so how?
This is my 1st convertible. It is the former Miss Donna, still only has a little over 8,000 miles.
Thx’s in advance.

The top should fit into the bucket but the latch mechanisms will protrud a bit. I found the replacements covers need to be placed in the sun to stretch it out. They're not the best but it should be ok. I found plastic lips (tangs) are missed placed and a bit short. These slip under the chrome trim along the trunk lid. I would take a picture but I'm not around my car.

You have to wrestle with it. I have found warming it up helps (as stated above). I snap in the interior and slide the front into the interior piece. The I start at the center rear and move around to one side, then the other. I work the plastic under as I go and end up pulling it a bit to make it work.

Do make sure you have the latch mechanisms closed (as stated above).

Thanks for the information. We’re going thru a spell of rainy weather for next couple days. I’ll try your suggestions after it gets warmer.
