2 Drive shafts up for grabs

I have 2 driveshafts up for sale.

One is 47 7/32" long and 3" dia

71 with 429 C6

72 with 351 C6

73 with 351 C6

May fit other applications

The other seems the be the same length but doesnt look as wide.

It was removed from a 70 Coupe with a 351w and FMX Trans. Not sure whatelse it would fit. Both include the yoke.

Mike, looks like you are really close to being done with your car. It looks good. Considering that you are so close and maybe your only hold up is the transmission, let me give you something to think about.

Since the shift lever is easy to swap, maybe you could take the new shiftlever to the guys who rebuilt your transmission and have them swap that out for you. I would think that they would do it for nothing.

Since you have extra driveshafts, go ahead and have one cut for the longer tailhousing FMX. That should be about $100.

You should then be in business.

Thanks. Its almost done but i still got quite a bit of work to do. The differential needs finished, brakes need put on, starter needs installed, tons of odds and ends. Yes that was my initial plan. The other issue is is that longggg tailhousing is in the way of the shifter itself. I think that is why ford used that really short tail housing for the mustang. I found the transmission i need 2 hours from my house along with the matching driveshaft which i also need.

Good to know. I also have the wrong FMX transmission (wrong shift lever and long tail housing) installed in my 73 Mach 1 but had not gotten as far as trying to attach the shifter. So back to the drawing board for mine as well.

It sucks so bad. Sell what you have and find the right one. There are 2 that i know of in Michigan for sale right now for 100.00 each. Not sure what shipping would be to where your at. Looks like the trans we have is for a galaxy or any other long Ford car.
