I know of a 1st generation mustang axle w/ 3.50 Trac-Loc for sale locally.I beleive the axle is narrower, but will the guts swap into our housings?Love to get rid of the 2.75 standard axle. Thanks,

Eric

Most 1st gens were 8", not 9" diffs.

I think (could be wrong) the only 9's were in HiPo cars.

Otherwise, yes, any 9" center will work as long as the axle spline count (28 or 31 were the OE choices) is the same as your axles.

May need to change U-joint at the rear, also (yoke may or may not be different). Not a big deal if needed.
