Check out this video of a 73 Mach 1 at Targa Tasmania 2012. I'm subscribed to this guy on youtube and have been following his build and racing for a while.

Thanks for looking.

Dam that would be heart breaking after all that work and effort...

Thumbs up to the engine builder tho, she seams to have some real get up an go in her...

This is Peter and his dad Ian Winn. That footage is from this year.

They had just rebuilt from last year's wreck when they hit a 65 Mustang Fastback.

Peter has all ready located another Mach 1 there in Australia and they are beginning the rebuild again.

For anyone who is of the opinion that "our" cars don't handle or run, they need to take a seat in Peter's Mach 1!

Man that's sad. I was having so much fun watching the whole first part of the video, the rest was cringing.

Yeah he's a pretty cool guy and that's just from talking to him through youtube.

The end is kind of encouraging and uplifting, No?

I was worried watching the passengers arms as it looked like he was grabbing for the roll bar--I could just see fingers pinched! Would love to copy his engine build, that thing sounds awesome!

This thread reminds me of Love the Beast, which I saw at a drive-in here:

Turned out just as sad:

Yes, I own one of those, mine is Blue:)
That is an excellent movie about a guy and his car.

Too bad. Wasn´t that the same guys that hit that Shelby Fastback last year?

That must hurt, building a car, racing it the first time, crashing it, then rebuilding and totalling it on the second attempt.

Like Steven had said he hit a 65 fastback last year.
