There has been some recent discussion about the convertible specific floor reinforcement plate or "torque plate" as it has been referred to with respect to clearance for dual exhaust. While surfing another forum I saw a CNC version of the plate which incorporates an offset flange to increase the tunnel clearance. Thought someone might find this useful in the future.

Nice find! Personally as a Mechanical Engineer I look at that and there are some problems that jump out at me. The corner radii on the weight reduction cutouts are really small for what is going to be one of the main loading paths. I would be worried that this would have a tendency to cause cracking in the area. It's also odd that in each cutout, only two of the four corners appear to have been rounded. I like the idea being proposed here, but I'd want to see the stress flow on it before I would put it on my car (Okay maybe I'm being overly cautious, but bent sheet metal parts is what I've spent the last 6 months working on with Disney)

I had been considering getting something made. I like what they have done and woudl probably just request that it isn't 'cut out'. But I had put the GV unit in and decided to just route the exhaust away from it. Heat kills.
