Great looking car, you are very fortunate. The 3.89:1 gear was a great decision for occasional driving, it makes it more fun. Assuming it is a stock cam and timing set, I'd set it at 16 degrees initial, 36 degrees total mechanical advance, all in by 2700 RPM, with vacuum disconnected and plugged. I'd limit vacuum advance to about 10 degrees. Embrace the "old school", it is easier than it appears to be right now. Chuck
