Hi,

I'm thinking of raising the windshield and rear window so they are flush with the body. Has anybody here ever done this? If yes, care to explain what you did?

Cheers,
Vincent.

I have never done anything like this before. It might work with the rear window if you can find a different, suitable profile for the window seal. It is more difficult with the windshield. This is glued in flexibly and must have sufficient clearance for the movement of the bodywork, otherwise you will immediately have cracks in the windshield. In contrast to modern vehicles, the glued-in windshield on our Mustangs does not contribute to stiffening the body.

I am thinking of glueing both windows using automotive window sealer. Also the trim won't be coming back but I'd like to use modern rubber trim.

I found 1 or 2 threads about this subject here with some pics but no details. For example; I see people welding stuff onto the A-pillar and that's the easy part. But how is the new ledge attached to the original ledge?
